MY STORY
Why I Built Research2Revenue™
I built Research2Revenue™ for people who are doing everything they can but could still use a little more financial breathing room. People whose lives don't necessarily fit neatly into a traditional side hustle. People caring for family, raising kids, working full-time, navigating a difficult season, or simply watching everyday expenses add up faster than they'd like.
I built it because I've been there.
When my dad got sick, then passed away, my mom needed me, and my world changed in ways I never could’ve prepared for. So, I made the decision to step away from my career. I was incredibly fortunate to have a husband who supported that decision and worked incredibly hard, often traveling and spending long stretches away from home, so I could be there for my family and have the time I needed to grieve.
We weren't broke, but money was tight. Going from two incomes to one changes things. Savings shrink. Bills don't stop. Stress grows. Life keeps happening. And while I was deeply grateful for the ability to be home, I also knew I wanted to find a way to contribute financially again. At the same time, grief and depression had completely changed me. There were days I slept far more than I should have and nights when my mind simply wouldn't shut off. I wasn't ready to jump back into a traditional job and pretend everything was normal. In the middle of that season, I found paid research and focus groups. Not scams. Not "get rich quick" nonsense. Not MLMs, recruiting, or pretending to be someone I wasn't.
Real companies. Real studies. Real people getting paid for their opinions and experiences.
At first, it was simply a flexible way to bring some extra money into our household. A grocery bill. An unexpected expense. A little more room in the budget. And honestly, there was something else it gave me that I hadn't expected: the feeling that I was contributing again, on my own terms, during a season when I needed that more than I realized. But I also learned very quickly that paid research isn't magic.
I didn’t qualify for every study. Opportunities weren't guaranteed. Income wasn’t predictable. And finding legitimate opportunities and learning how to navigate the entire process took time, patience, and a whole lot of trial and error. I made mistakes. I wasted time. I learned what worked, what didn't, what was legitimate, and what wasn't worth chasing. Eventually, I realized something: Other people could use this too. Not because paid research is going to replace everyone's paycheck. Not because I discovered some secret path to easy money. Not because a $100, $200, or even $400 study was going to change my life. But because $100 at the right moment could help with groceries. A $200 focus group could cover a bill. A $400 opportunity could create something I desperately needed at the time:

Simply having a little more space between what comes in and what goes out. And sometimes, that changes everything. That's why I created Research2Revenue™. I took what took me years of trial and error to learn and turned it into a practical, repeatable system designed to help other people understand and pursue legitimate paid research opportunities without having to figure everything out on their own. I'm not going to promise you'll qualify for every study. I’m not going to tell you how much money you'll make. And I'm definitely not going to sell you a fantasy about getting rich from focus groups. I'm going to teach you what I learned. I’ll show you how legitimate paid research works, how and where to find opportunities, how to approach screeners strategically and honestly, and how to build a repeatable system you can continue using for yourself.
